Choose the kind of body massage you want
Look for the Swedish Combo if you want the body portion to feel broad and flowing. The Deep Tissue Combo suits a guest who wants the therapist to slow down around a specific area, such as the upper back. You can tell your therapist how much pressure you want for each part of the appointment.
The Special Combo lists an herbal foot bath, foot and scalp massage, Swedish massage, aromatherapy and hot stones. Choose it if you’d like several kinds of massage in one visit. If there’s a part you’re especially interested in, ask how much time it usually gets in the length you’re considering.
Decide how to split the time
Think of the appointment as one block of time. If both areas feel equally important, say so. If you mainly want foot work with a little attention on the shoulders, put that first when you talk to your therapist. Ask how the time is usually divided for the combo you booked.
You can want firm pressure across your back and a lighter touch on your feet in the same session. Describe each preference separately. If the pressure feels different once the therapist switches areas, tell them where to ease up or where you’d like them to spend a little longer.
Compare 60, 90 and 120 minutes
An hour gives you time to try both parts of a combo. Pick one priority for the body portion to help your therapist plan around the time you want for your feet. A 90-minute slot gives you more room if you’d like the therapist to spend time on more than one area of your back or legs.
The 120-minute appointment gives you the longest time for both portions. If you mainly want foot work after a long day, the separate Foot Massage appointment may be a better fit for your schedule. If your priorities are split between tired feet and an area like the upper back, start with the combo options.
